January 21, 2012: A little rain, a little sun, some more rain, all
conspired to keep those Model T’s snug in their garages. So we had one
lonely little T and a half dozen or so moderns chugging up to San Carlos
to the Hiller Museum. Twelve folks in all showed up, and the
strangest thing, only two ladies, must be a man thing about those
airplanes. Kudos to Jim Lukash for putting together a most comprehensive
set of tour directions, complete with some entertaining diagrams for
filler. Got to say, the Hiller Museum is a first class operation, lots of
interesting exhibits and some interactive hands-on hardware for us
tinkerers. And they do have a gift shop that you can spend almost as much
time browsing as in the museum. Lots of very unique, amazing and
entertaining items for the little boy in all of us. Great place to
Christmas shop, gotta remember that for December. Good tour, thanks Jim,
and we did make it home.
