Safety Inspection & Tour
March 2010

March 21, 2010. Ten T’s and two A’s showed up at Rancho for the Inspection and Tour. Off to Gunn HS where we pretty well filled up the Autotech lot. We were met by some of Mike Camicia’s students who assisted in the various activities. We had a hoist available for underside inspections, we weighed all the cars, and we did clipboard inspections with our safety inspection sheets. The ladies hung out in the classroom and looked at era fashion books.

After the inspection, we found seats for all the students and did a loop tour out around through Portola Valley. This year, the blossoms were pretty well done, thanks to all the recent rains, but there were lots of wildflowers, mustard and new green leaves and grass. Couple that with the blue sky day, nice mild temperatures and light traffic, it was a nice enjoyable drive. I threw in one lil hill on Elena Rd. just to keep everyone honest, but nobody even complained.

These T’s are running really good. We ended up in Meneely’s backyard, parked on the grass and stormed the kitchen for soup, salad, and ice cream. Pat and crew had 4 kinds of soup, 3 kinds of salad, and cake to go with the ice cream. Now that is a combination that T drivers all love, and we minimized the leftovers. Good day, and nobody even got stuck in the backyard.
