May 10th was one of those spectacular days that the South Bay is known for and a perfect day for a tour in our antique vehicles. Twenty-one cars made the trek to San Martin for the Wings of History Museum Open House. Of those twenty-one, there were 13 Model T's, 5 A's, 1 Packard, 1 Dodge Brothers, and a Studebaker. The day was spent watching antique airplanes take off and land, walking around and conversing with the various antique auto owners from our club and the Model A Club, partaking in the breakfast or BBQ lunch, picnicking in the shade, seeing the sights inside the museum hangers, and some visitors even took a ride in an airplane or helicopter. There were a few spectacular "Fly-Overs" that held our attention, and this year there were an abundance of antique planes parked for people to enjoy. Our Club has enjoyed this event for many years and we hope to continue going to the Fly-In for many more years to come.Allan and Lucy Greenberg |
