Wings of History Air Museum Tour
May 2011

The 11th annual Wings of History Air Museum Open House took place under a gray sky on Saturday, May 14. But the gray sky did not dampen the turnout of aircraft, antique autos, early day gas engines and visitors.  No problems were reported on the drive down and we arrived at the museum at 10:00 am.  Fourteen cars from the Club lined the path to the display of aircraft. Of those fourteen,  there were 12 Model T's, 1 Model A and 1 Studebaker.  Soon after we arrived at the museum, everyone headed in different directions, some going to the museum buildings, some going to see all the aircraft parked on the tarmac and some (there are always some) headed to the food line. The day was spent viewing everything to see at this event, along with renewing old acquaintances. There were a few "Fly-Overs" that got our attention, and again this year there was an abundance of antique planes parked for people to enjoy. Our Club has enjoyed this event for many years and we expect to continue going to the Open House for many more years to come.
